This series is so much fun! submitted by BurntSaori on June 21, 2018, 9:43am PC Grant is a junior police officer in London when he stumbles upon a ghost who witnessed a peculiar murder. Titled the Rivers of London (much better, if misleading title) in England, there are currently 6 published novels, and several graphic novel mini-sodes to bridge the plot between books. The audio books are also excellent. 5/5

Ghostly murder mystery submitted by SolaireFQ on August 5, 2018, 11:29am This was a fun read, a good fantasy mystery which balanced the supernatural nicely

Midnight Riot submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on August 14, 2019, 4:19pm The book provides not only an interesting murder mystery/fantasy story but also an indirect statement on racism, sexism, immigration, policing and other issues. The main character is the son of an Anglo-Saxon musician and a woman who moved to London from Africa. Some of his colleagues in the police force are also people of color. Some of his fellow police officers are women who must deal with sexism from their peers, supervisors and the public at large. One could also see how the human characters in this series treat others (such as elves) as a coded commentary on racism.

Paranormal detectives submitted by skiger on July 18, 2020, 4:14pm I read this novel after reading and loving the graphic novels. This is a great paranormal detective series and the reader learns about the paranormal world of London along with the main character Peter Grant.

Pretty good submitted by annakbh on July 11, 2023, 6:09pm It was very London-y, and a bit like the tv show Wellington Paranormal in terms of magic presence and police humor.
