Lincoln submitted by jaegerla on September 9, 2011, 10:36am This was a highly factual retelling of the aftermath of Lincoln's assassination. The attention to detail was wonderful. The focus of The Conspirator was the way the trial for the accused assassins was handled. It was essential that such a young country stay true to its ethos even after such a major catastrophe. If they did not properly try the accused, it would be a breakdown of the American legal system- but not everyone cared about giving the assassins due process or the assumption of innocence before guilt. Pretty good!
