More Than Meets the Puppet submitted by whoisdonald on June 16, 2014, 8:14pm I'd heard this film was surprisingly good, despite what seems like an odd, if not ridiculous premise, and indeed it delivers something worthwhile. The film's tone seems lighthearted and there's a good share of humor, yet it becomes increasingly serious and provides some meaningful commentary on how mental illness can be celebrated or scapegoated in our society (yet often not well treated). The performances are spot on.
