Its funny that you consider this a twilight wanna be, considering this started way before twilight, idiot.
Smart, Sexy, and Adult Entertainment
it's true, there is a lot of violence, sexuality, and drug use/abuse in this supernatural soap-drama, as well as strong critiques of some aspects of religion and society. But for those not put off by the adult content, it is a smart, funny, touching, dangerous and heady mix with excellent plot twists. The song choices for soundtrack use are brilliant.
Anyone who thinks this has anything to do with Twilight needs a lesson in the history of vampire literature. For one thing, Dead Until Dark, the first book in the Sookie Stackhouse series on which True Blood is based, was published several years before Twilight.
