Not the best of Spike submitted by Pumpkinscones on June 30, 2013, 8:55am It's canon, but...... it is really not a super exciting read. Spike is always at his best interacting with the Slayer or Drusilla and as neither of them appear it lacks a bit. All Alone Now is a lot better read. Spike has really come into play in Season 8 and 9 of Buffy (flying around with his sentient cockroaches) and this feels kind of like just a place holder between then and the end of Angel. A couple of good lines, as always some in-jokes for Whedon fans but not enough to make it required reading.
