Read by Robin Sachs.
"In Oslo, after the first snow of the season has fallen, a woman disappears, and a sinister snowman is left in her wake. As irascible detective Harry Hole realizes that this is only one of multiple disappearances, he begins to think a serial killer may be at work--and may be drawing in Hole personally and intentionally"-- Provided by publisher.

Twists & Turns submitted by laurenmccarthya2 on June 19, 2015, 11:30am A multi-layered mystery, with uniquely Nordic touches. Was a bit hard to follow on CD, since the character and place names could sound quite similar. The main character is flawed and relatable, the mystery and background information is meaty and complex. Really liked the narrator but it might be better to read rather than listen to.
Fear the Snowman submitted by MH17 on August 29, 2018, 8:11pm An engrossing, smart, chilling tale of psychological complexity set in the dreary environs of Oslo, Norway, this book will keep you guessing until the end. This is a nice window into Norwegian culture and mindset and a compelling thriller that occasionally goes to dark places. Some scenes were really creepy and suspenseful. Reminds me of the Girl With a Dragon Tattoo series in all the right ways. It's a really solid, well-told mystery and the narrator does a fine job of presenting, doing just enough of the voices to keep you grounded without sounding goofy, as some narrators do when trying to fluff up the dialogue. Five stars!
