history submitted by Jackie77 on July 12, 2015, 8:49pm Great book about Grover Cleveland
Not exactly what the title indicates submitted by Daniel Borton on July 7, 2017, 11:11pm Algeo under-delivers on his claim that President Cleveland personally vilified a courageous newspaperman. However, Algeo does provide a very detailed account of a forgotten part of Presidential lore. The book is choc-full of historical tidbits, such as an informative review of the poor medical care received by many chief executives, as well as a history of Presidential facial hair, and Algeo does a good job (his subtitle notwithstanding) of presenting Grover Cleveland in a balanced light.
