Good concert submitted by annlinlover on July 20, 2011, 3:16pm My husband and I both like it

Are all the performances like this? submitted by pkooger on February 13, 2012, 1:30pm I've seen the film version of Les Miserables, but I had never seen a performance of the musical. In this particular performance, the actors spend most of their time arrayed in a line facing the audience, going through their numbers. I suppose I expected that there would be more, well, acting. Are all the performances like this, or was it just this 25th anniversary version? I have to admit, it detracted from battlefield scenes where people were supposedly in the midst of fighting and death, but were actually just standing in a line, facing in one direction and singing. I was confused as to what was supposed to be happening. Maybe I should work on my imagination. Or just watch a different version.

Almost Perfect submitted by emilyrose on April 12, 2012, 11:39am I loved everything about this production except for the casting of Nick Jonas! He was a drag on the show, not being nearly as competent in either acting or singing as the other cast members. But Alfie Boe in particular was AMAZING!!!!! He is astonishingly good, and so are the rest of the cast, notably Norm Lewis as Javert, Lea Salonga as Fantine, Matt Lucas and Jenny Galloway as the Thenardiers, and Samantha Barks as Eponine. The production was outstanding, but again, it was Alfie that made it something I will never tire of seeing.
