They say that the Thorn of Camorr can beat anyone in a fight. They say he steals from the rich and gives to the poor. They say he's part man, part myth, and mostly street-corner rumor. And they are wrong on every count. Only averagely tall, slender, and god-awful with a sword, Locke Lamora is the fabled Thorn, and the greatest weapons at his disposal are his wit and cunning. He steals from the rich - they're the only ones worth stealing from - but the poor can go steal for themselves. What Locke cons, wheedles and tricks into his possession is strictly for him and his band of fellow con-artists and thieves: the Gentleman Bastards. Together their domain is the city of Camorr. Come for the hijinks, stay for some of the most flavorful cussing around submitted by vvergoth on July 18, 2022, 11:35am This, and the rest of the books in the Gentlemen Bastards series, are some of my favorite audiobooks. If you like a good heist, lovable thieves, creative cussing, and excellent narration, this book will not let you down.

Charming Found Family of Rogues submitted by pjaynes on July 13, 2023, 5:11pm The audiobook definitely adds to the charm of this heist story. I love a good use of the found family trope and I like charming thieves and this book delivers on both counts. The tone lies in a happy medium between regular Robin Hood and Robin Hood: Men in Tights -- funny, but with some heartbreaking moments, and adeptly flowing between lightheartedness and darkness.
