The sheer number of people that Rob Lowe seems to have just run into made this book very surprising. His life seems to have intersected with some great talents and historical events. Parts of the book were a bit dry because he recounts some of his movies in so much detail, but overall the book is quite interesting.

Unexpectedly Wonderful

I was persuaded by a friend to give this book a shot. I was hooked in the first chapter. Rob Lowe does an excellent job as narrator of his life and his stories are incredible. Stories I Only Tell My Friends is a great book with MANY celebrity cameos.

Great Story

Like a lot of women my age, I had a big crush on Rob Lowe in the 70's and 80's. In reading his autobiography, I enjoyed his voice, stories and reading about his brushes with fame before he was even famous! This book piqued my interest in watching The Outsiders again.

Excellent book

Very well written book. Insider's look at entertainment industry, problems being a celebrity, etc.
