Wonderfully twisty story with a satisfying ending submitted by yugure on July 26, 2013, 9:56am I was very impressed by Chime. The voice felt authentic and well-written; Briony is a complex, interesting character for whom I felt compassion and anxiety as the story unfolded. All of the characters are well done, in fact, and the landscape of Swampsea is so wonderfully painted I often felt like I was there. Billingsley uses language to great effect, particularly unusual verbs and adjectives that help set the mood of the story. I loved all the strange and mysterious creatures that Briony encounters like the Dead Hand and Mucky Face. Wonderfully twisty story with a satisfying ending. Recommended.
Awesome submitted by kzheng on August 21, 2013, 6:12pm This book is very interesting .its unnatural .
Briony Vieny submitted by majean on August 28, 2018, 9:05pm This plot unfolds slowly. It's easy to get frustrated with Briony, but in the end it was a sweet story that I found difficult to put down.
