Awesome submitted by mysterio on July 14, 2011, 4:36pm Awesome

Fun and Entertaining submitted by SBNB on June 20, 2012, 6:52pm This is one of my favorite movies from the 90's. I love Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan together. "People do stupid things in foreign countries." And, you know, maybe Amazon has put Fox Books out of business now.

Love it submitted by poptart887 on August 30, 2014, 2:11pm loved this movie

Love it! submitted by ValerieL on June 24, 2019, 4:10pm This is one of my favorite romantic comedies. Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan are great together. It's a fun storyline and nicely updated to the end of the 20th century.

the one-word vocabulary troll strikes again... every movie this troll ever saw was "awesome" submitted by Tassos on November 14, 2021, 1:03pm Which is exactly the same as if the genius called them all "lame" or "miserable".

So, if you want a SERIOUS review, you came to the right place.

THis is a REMAKE of one of the BEST MOVIES EVER, Ernst Lubitsch's "The Shop around the corner".

If you saw THAT movie (I have seen it many times!), then this one pales in comparison.

Not that it is bad, the leading actors are both great, BUT they have to work with what is given to them,

The SCRIPT is not that good. Nora Ephron has done much better ones. It misses all the GREAT, elegant humor of the original.

See the original and then reply to this review, and if you do, you will fully agree with everything I wrote.
