My 3 year old's favorite submitted by sbryan on January 10, 2014, 2:12pm I started reading this book to my son in celebration of spring. It is now January, and we are still reading it - over and over again. The art is beautiful, the phrasing is flawless, and lesson about nature is precious. I am not tired of it, despite reading it every night for weeks.

A bonus lesson is that kids learn about how different animals eat different things.

Full disclosure: my son now pretends that he is a baby bird 24/7. Make your choices in accordance.
