All of London's vampires are very much interested in seeing Alexia quite thoroughly dead. While Lord Maccon elects to get progressively more inebriated and Professor Lyall desperately tries to hold the Woolsey werewolf pack together, Alexia flees England for Italy in search of the mysterious Templars. Only they know enough about the preternatural to explain her increasingly inconvenient condition, but they may be worse than the vampires -- and they're armed with pesto.

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

The Parasol Protectorate submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on July 20, 2013, 1:48am "Blameless," the third in the Parasol Protectorate series, continues the adventures of Alexia Tarabotti, Lady Woolsey. Her husband has falsely accused her of infidelity, causing society at large and even her own family and friends to denounce her. Her only help is her French lesbian friend Madame Lefoux, who helps her escape attack by flying to the Continent.
The series has several positive gay and lesbian characters, some of whom are supernaturals. It also portrays a strong, decisive woman who doesn't need any man if he will hurl false allegations at her.
I highly recommend this series, especially to anyone who enjoys steampunk and/or fantasy. The plot keeps readers turning the pages.
Be forewarned, some parts are a tad risque. If it were a movie, it would be rated "R."

Nice funny series submitted by amd12 on August 30, 2020, 12:46am The books just keep me laughing.
