I didn't actually stop mid-book, but I thought about doing so submitted by hathaway1066 on July 14, 2014, 7:39pm Seemed a bit formulaic, but I haven't read others by the author so couldn't say for sure. The pace never slowed enough that I was bored, but it wasn't exactly brilliantly original or compelling. I wanted to finish it to find out the overall/underlying explanation for the plot's mysterious opening scene--but in the end, it was an over-blown, only-in-a-pulpy-novel kind of explanation, so pphhht. You could do better than this. But you could probably do worse, too. This is what you'd buy in an airport news kiosk if your flight was delayed and you ran out of whatever you'd brought along.
Quick read submitted by steveiew on June 27, 2018, 10:55am Many of Rollins books seem to follow a similar story, this one is no exception. Despite that, it's still a good book that goes by quickly. The book is filled with suspense and it is hard to put down as each chapter seems to end with a cliffhanger.
