Eye candy submitted by pkooger on May 7, 2011, 2:21pm What this film lacked in substance, it made up for in style. Legend of the Guardians is a pretty standard adventure film for kids in terms of its good guys vs. bad guys narrative and underdog-turned-hero story arc. There’s absolutely nothing new in terms of story (besides the fact that they are all owls), but the visual artwork is gorgeous. The movie really seemed to capture the magic of flying. There are tons of mid-air chase scenes, airborne battles, and even a flight through a raging ocean storm with each waterdrop and quivering feather lovingly detailed. A beautiful piece of eye candy.

Fun Movie submitted by 0liviap0pp on June 20, 2011, 3:09pm This was a fun movie but yet it did not follow the storyline at all. Trying to fit 15 250 page books into a movie just doesn't work....Soren's got a special story in the book, and it doesn't quite make it in the movie, yet it was enjoyable to watch.

Guardians submitted by honordenver on June 27, 2011, 6:13pm This movie is great and funny and a family movie a three in one package.

The Gaurdians of Ga'Hoole submitted by tomiwa on January 4, 2012, 12:40pm The movie seemed nothing like the stories, one reason being the fact that in the books Soren and Gylfie met Twilight before Digger but was opposite in the movie. But overall it was the best movie in the world. It is the best movie that has been watched, is being watched, and ever will be watched. A little violence is included and it's fun to try to identify all the owls.

Pretty Good submitted by tasha kazanjian on March 14, 2012, 12:47pm I was actually surprised at how it followed the storyline of some of the books. I thought that they did a pretty good job of fitting fifteen books into one movie. If the plot wasn't completely original, that wouldn't be the studio's fault. The graphics were amazing, and I really didn't notice a ton a violence, like reviews I'd read said. I wasn't really expecting much from it, but I got a nice surprise.

lame submitted by logan111222 on June 27, 2012, 8:41pm this movie was so bad it made no sense it was corny and it got all the kid kids who watched it upset,

Awesome! submitted by Motomori on June 28, 2012, 12:39pm I haven't read the books, but, this was the best movie ever! I liked it sooooooo much! I bought it for my brother for Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eh... submitted by lec.dank on June 23, 2013, 7:19pm Not that good, but it's hard to fit fifteen books in one movie, so you have to give them some credit.

O.K submitted by wulfflynn on July 13, 2013, 8:31pm Good movie but, the books were better.

A.. submitted by readingqueen76 on July 8, 2014, 3:11pm Awsome!

This film rocks! submitted by shumoon on July 22, 2015, 1:54pm While its plot differs greatly with the novels, it was a great film to watch independently from the books.
Awesome animation.
Great voice talent from Helen Mirren, Sam Neill, Abbie Cornish and Geoffrey Rush.

Enjoyable submitted by freopt on June 16, 2017, 8:30am It was different from the books. Like Nyra was there already, and they knew who Lyze of Kiel was before they went to the tree. Only included the first 4 books and that was disappointing because I really liked the later books with Coryn. But the animation was good and a good movie overall.

:) submitted by sandri on August 29, 2018, 6:56pm fun movie
