Well, if you're from Michigan.... submitted by breaking_glass on January 9, 2011, 12:40pm If you've been living in Michigan for awhile, you know definitely know Jack. You remember the newspapers and seeing the stories on the local news every day. Sure, everyone in the country was hearing about Jack Kevorkian at the time, but this was local news for us here in Michigan. Coming from this background, it was quite interesting for me to see this film, and I really enjoyed it. Al Pacino was spot-on as Jack Kevorkian, and I couldn't stop chuckling a little every time actor Danny Huston, playing the role of Geoffrey Fieger, was on screen. And Susan Sarandon was perfect (as always) in the role Kevorkian's friend and confidante from the Hemlock Society. As far as Kevorkian's patients, it appeared that original videos were inserted in the film, and I wondered how they handled this with the families. Interesting.

All in all, worth seeing. Watch for a scene that takes place in a Big Boy, and lots of bottles of Faygo redpop. (Did he really drink that all of the time?) Also, Kevorkian's paintings were insanely dark, but really cool. Still, probably didn't help his case too much at the time. But that's just the kind of guy Jack is.

well done submitted by mandevil on October 19, 2016, 10:16am I remember well the stories about Dr Death on the news. Well done performances, and a good focus on the issues surrounding assisted suicide. Kevorkian was willing to go to prison for his beliefs.
