Surprisingly good submitted by pej08 on August 5, 2015, 7:44am After being a fan of The Killers but disliking their music more and more as they released more albums, I wasn't sure what to expect when Killers front man Brandon Flowers, put out a solo album. As I listened I was pleasantly surprised by the creativity and originality in the music. It appears that being free from the influences of other musicians has allowed Flowers to express himself more fully, with music that's much more interesting and easy to listen to. Although sticking to the familiar Las Vegas theme throughout a lot of the album, the music itself feels very original, and each song seems very different from all the others. All this combines to make an album that worth listening to all the way through many times over, each time catching different background layers. If you like the Killers but miss the days when their music was catchy and fun and original, you will enjoy this album.
