Very satisfying read! submitted by lauriebhowland on June 20, 2011, 2:03pm I have read all of the J. D. Robb, Eve Dallas, books and in my opinion, this has been one of her best. The story was good, the new characters involved were appropriately nasty without being over the top, and the regulars were their witty, reliable selves. The outcome is inevitable, the bad chick is going down, but getting there was quite entertaining. Now I have to wait until the next book comes out! I guess I could start at the beginning and read back through the series, though I like where the characters have evolved to, so I don't know if that would be a good idea or not. Must check with my co-worker, who is also an Eve Dallas fan. He did just re-read the series.

You could probably pick this book up and enjoy the story without having all the history of the other books in the series, but I do recommend starting at the beginning and working you way through. It will keep you busy for a while because there are quite a few.
