Great, Just awesome
One of my top ten books definitely. I loved the first book, still havent read the power of six though I definitely should. The movie kinda sucked though sadly
I am NEED an editor
The story is gripping. I didn’t want to put it down, so that I could find out what happened, however there were definitely some problems with it as well. Things that will annoy you in the extreme.
Several time throughout the book there was phrasing that was so garbled and incoherent that no matter how many times I reread the passage I couldn’t make sense of it. like the author was trying to be cleaver with their writing instead of telling the story.
You will also be extremely frustrated with the fighting in the book. Some of the characters are essentially described as supper man (with extra cool powers) and then they all but get their asses handed to them by normal people. Then they get there asses handed to them by aliens with no actual powers, with little or no explication as to how.
The main character is in a fight to the death and while he has no problem killing the people he is supposed to, he doesn’t do so when he can. INFURIATING. Just infuriating.

Great!
I loved this book. The action in the beginning of the book lead to reading more. It was kind of predictable though.
Good
It was okay,
lorien
way better than the movie. pattacus lore takes john life and makes a conenction with the reader
Great
I have high expectations for this movie.
Not Living Up
I read about three chapters and found this to be predictable and lackluster. I didn't get past page 85 because I could not take the repetitive short, simple sentence structure.
If you want an easy read, this would be perfect. However, if you find simplicity dull, I wouldn't recommend it.

Lorien Legacies
This will likely make a pretty decent action flick when it comes out next year, and with Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg behind the production, the action sequences should be great. I wouldn't expect much out of the script though. New actor, Pettyfer, will be all over the magazines, and he should fit the role well. But as a book, the plot is mostly predictable and the characters are totally flat and cliche. The story is entertaining enough to hold the reader's interest, even with its considerable length. The language is very very easy for Teen Fiction, making it a very good candidate for reluctant boy readers in 6-8th grade especially.
