Noise-Infused Goodness submitted by Meginator on July 17, 2011, 10:24am While I think this is a solid album, I must confess that I'm not quite sure what to make of it. Each track fits nicely into the album's overall aesthetic, with electronic noise-rock bits infused into a more traditional melodic verse/chorus structure, but some of the distortion on the album tends to make the songs sound alike. "This Too Shall Pass" is a definite standout, with its pivotal chorus landing wonderfully amidst the noise and distortion. This album shows that Ok Go have an interesting, pioneering sensibility, and even though it's not the kind of thing I usually like, I respect the talent with which they have explored the boundaries of modern rock music on this album.
