Dazzling submitted by cherylo on August 14, 2011, 8:14pm Steve Martin is a dazzling writer, and herein has produced a gorgeous and sprawling novel centering on an ambitious and cunning woman in the art world. Not quite as bleak or claustrophobic as Shopgirl, but also not as broadly comic as The Pleasure of My Company. I enjoyed it very much.
