Great Story submitted by Jhopson on May 21, 2014, 11:16am Really good story! Entertaining and fast paced with lots of twists and turns. Corte works for a classified federal office charged with protecting people targeted for murder or kidnapping. No one is sure why this family is being targeted, and this time, the "lifter" (kidnapper) has connections to his past. The author incorporates game theory into the strategy, giving an interesting perspective. I'll be putting Jeffery Deaver on my "regular reading" list.

Ho hum submitted by mandevil on November 14, 2019, 12:29pm Although i admire Jeffrey Deaver and love his Lincoln Rhyme series this one was very dull. Characters were flat and lifeless, hard to care about them. Has the usual twists and turns that Deaver is known for. Some interesting bits about game theory. But really dull, dry and boring.
