Through the seasons, whenever City Dog visits the country he runs straight for Country Frog's rock to play games with him, but during the winter things change for them both.
COMMUNITY REVIEWS
Beautifully written and illustrated book submitted by whitneywk on August 30, 2015, 9:43pm I read "City Dog, Country Frog" with my daughter and was so touched by the story. The words and pictures paint a beautiful (and emotional) picture of friendship. Would highly recommend this book.

This book is about a dog from the city who comes to the country without a friend. He meets a frog there and they are friends and have adventures but then the season changes and eventually the country frog isn't there. When city dog met him he was sitting on a rock waiting. So then when city dog was waiting on the rock then a (bunny?) comes along and they can be new friends.
It's about the passage of time and change. It's both sad and sweet. People would like it who aren't too freaked out about dying.
