COMMUNITY REVIEWS
Well done submitted by evalyn1600 on June 19, 2013, 2:26pm This book is aimed at children, but is very well written for everyone to enjoy.
Good Non Fiction submitted by unknown on June 21, 2015, 1:22pm Black Elk was a cousin of Crazy Horse and was a Medicine Man of the Lakota-Oglala trip. He lived from 1863 until 1950. He was involved in Little Bighorn and Wounded Knee battles and was part of Buffalo Bill's wild west shows. This book tells about his vision as a young man to help people try to understand the circle of life. This was difficult as the white man took over more and more land and put the NA on reservations instead of on the freedom of their original land. This is one book that adults as well as children would like and learn from. There are some graphic pictures of the senseless slaughter of buffalo for their skins, their tongues and just for fun hunting by non-NA.
