Hit or miss submitted by gxtan on August 17, 2018, 11:41am A collection of animated shorts ranging from simpler line drawing to feature film quality animation. Most people strongly like/dislike different segments, but it's overall enjoyable and interesting in the context of Disney's history (interrupted by WWII, the studio turned to releasing collections of shorter animations instead of full length films). The second half, which includes "Peter and the Wolf," "Johnnie Fedora and Alice Bluebonnet," and "The Whale who wanted to sing at the Met," is stronger than the first. Does not include the short "The Martins and the Coys" (cut in the US release).
