A stirring underdog story submitted by sumsaylor on July 17, 2022, 12:27pm There is no better basketball movie--maybe no better sports movie--out there than Hoosiers. A feel-good story with real heart featuring standout performances by Gene Hackman, Barbara Hershey, Dennis Hopper and whoever plays the basketball players. Lots of twists and turns, lots of human emotion in this movie. Beautifully filmed, it captures small town Indiana during the mid-century and makes one nostalgic for the rural life that defined the Midwest for so many years. Quite a good soundtrack, too. Wonderful story, wonderful storytelling, this movie more than delivers--check it out!
