Somewhat Minimalist submitted by Meginator on August 31, 2019, 10:41pm Pan American’s style is very minimalist, revolving around gentle grooves and subtle melodic layers that offer just enough dissonance and development to keep the listener interested. The use of cornet against more familiar late-90s electronic instrumentation gives many of the tracks an interesting, and unusual, jazz vibe that distinguishes the album from some of its peers. Though I found this pleasant as atmospheric background music, I didn’t find it compelling enough to revisit.
