So weird, so funny, so good!

One of the most original graphics series I've come across in a while. Funny, interesting, I can't wait for the next installment!

Graphic in More than One Way

This graphic novel was a little too graphic (i.e., alternatively disgusting and violent) for me, though I liked the premise. Like the main character in "The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake", the hero - Tony Chu - can sense what happened behind the food he eats. He's a detective, so this is handy (mmm, cannibalism), and he goes on to work for the FDA, which has become bigger than the FBI in order to keep chicken out of people's hands following a bird flu epidemic.

Gross but great

What if your superpower was cibopathy, the power of getting psychic impressions from what you ate? Would you have the stomach to be like Agent Tony Chu and sample... murder victims?

Not for children or the faint of heart, this Eisner award-winning series of graphic novels is just that- graphic, but also insightful and entertaining. Definitely a must-read, but you just might not want to read them during your lunch hour.
