so charming, so tasty

This is one of the cutest gardening books I’ve seen, if gardening books can be called cute. Sometimes books are cute or hip or edgy, but aren’t so useful. That is not the case with this book. Printed on recycled paper using soy-based inks, this little book features information, illustrations, and guidance on growing food in small spaces, both economically and ecologically. Suggestions for growing items on ledges, balconies and rooftops are featured. As well as info on edible school yards, canning, community gardens, composting, a few recipes, and more.

The information is presented in a manner that isn’t overwhelming, and may provide the spark for getting started on your own container gardens that you’ve been putting off. The season’s already begun, but it’s never too late to grow something fabulous.
