Sixteen-year-old Lindsay, a former child star whose career ended when she developed the ability to hear what anyone, anywhere says about her and apparently suffered a nervous breakdown, comes to see this as an asset when, after her father's death, she learns that she is not alone.

Interesting submitted by susanlam on July 15, 2011, 2:02pm This book follows a girl named Lindsay Scott. At one time a child actress, she now lives alone in a ramshackle house in a small college town. When she is kidnapped, however, she has to come to grips with reality. The "kidnappers" actually turn out to be nice, and they become friends. But more than anything, Lindsay wants to go home. She has the ability to hear anything people say about her, and being inside her house somehow blocks it. Over the course of the story, she is able to get her ability under control. The language in this book was very nice, and the story held my interest all the way to the end.
