COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Fun overview submitted by ckfinzel on June 20, 2017, 4:50pm Great way to get an overview of some classic country western and folk music. It makes for pleasant background music and the recording quality is very good considering when it was recorded.

Old Time Country Music submitted by Meginator on July 30, 2017, 7:05pm I appreciated this compilation's mix of different emerging subgenres of country music; you can pick out a lot of musical influences on various tracks and it's interesting to compare them to influences in later (and, less so perhaps, modern mainstream) country music. Several of the songs are classics. This album offers a nice perspective on mid-1950s country music at a time when the genre began emerging and finding its voice.
