A Popular Novel in Its Time, Very Relevant Today submitted by sVfGI7Glt2pz7GZgVB90 on July 16, 2020, 3:15pm
A book about migration, travel, race, slavery---a book about America in the middle of the nineteenth century. It has vivid characters. Highly relevant today it just leads a kind of humanity on virtually every page and communicates what the suffering is like of being in a tragic situation and how there are some structural features of America that tend to breed kinds of tragedies

It is a somewhat different context, it is a bit long, but once you pick it up you are immediately in the book and the way you would be engrossed in say a popular novel.
