Man on the Moon submitted by wangd on June 25, 2022, 1:52pm If I had to give a "Most Influential Sound" award to a single album for rap/hip-hop, it would have to be this. The combination of the spacey, psychedelic instrumentals and lyrics about his hidden depression starting from his childhood have really led to the emo-rap and psychedelic-rap era that we've come into. Artist like Travis Scott and Juice WRLD are great examples of how Man on the Moon has reached the current sound. MotM is filled with classics like " Soundtrack 2 my Life", "Heart of a Lion", "Day n Nite", and "Up Up and Away". You'd know them if you heard them! For me, this was the best album of the 2000s.
