Worth a Read submitted by Sara W on June 18, 2012, 10:00pm I picked up this cookbook because of its non-intimidating size and its aim to get new cooks started. Cookbooks that focus on simplicity are right at my level. This cookbook struck the balance quite well, Mollie Katzen gives good, clear instructions without assuming too much. She provides suggestions for additions or extra complexity alongside the basic recipe for more advanced chefs. The range of recipes was good too - plenty for both vegetarians and omnivores.
