another Ian Rutledge mystery submitted by apf1950 on March 25, 2021, 10:35am This book follows Inspector Ian Rutledge of Scotland Yard about two years after the end of World War I. The authors have their usual long list of characters, many of them English aristocrats with servants. The trail of clues dates back several years, and Rutledge also has to contend with his PTSD and his boss. The authors throw in a completely unrelated case for some reason. Perhaps they needed more pages, but it's an annoying distraction. Still, it was an easy read.
