don't be afraid of celebrities
submitted by manz on September 24, 2010, 8:23am
I was afraid of this cookbook, as it is written by a celebrity. Written by Alicia Silverstone. And it was popular, and in all the papers, etc.
But I checked it out, and low and behold, it wasn't bad! It was actually good. I actually read good chunks of it.
The beginning of the book has great information on becoming vegan, and tips on how to get started. The author's voice does the book justice. It's isn't "you have to be vegan because it will make you superior" at all. Quite the opposite. This book would be great for a new vegan, or someone wishing to try a few recipes, or get some information on how to make the transition.
