Wow! A must-see epic-proportion nature documentary! submitted by vk on January 5, 2011, 7:38pm This standard length nature documentary is stunning in cinematography and epic in proportion -- highlighting our planet from the north pole through the temperate climes and tropics to the waters off Antarctica -- culled from the much longer and acclaimed BBC Planet Earth. Narrated by James Earl Jones, this 90-min DisneyNature DVD passes quickly and could act as a spectacular snapshot of dynamic mammal life (e.g., polar bears in the Arctic, elephants in Africa, and humpback whales in the waters off Antarctica) on our planet circa 2004-2006 for the generations to come. Be sure to see also the 40-min. bonus diaries that show how they filmed some of the more difficult sequences. Gorgeous! A must see, especially for those who do not have the time to sit through the multi-disc BBC Planet Earth!
