I'd not heard of Norman.
I saw this audio book on a shelf as I was browsing and decided to give it a try.
Told in a split-time voice, we learn early on that Norman was in a horrific plane crash.
Yes, we know he survived because he wrote the book.
But it's the story of why he survived, his relationship with his father, and the determination he had that made the whole thing amazingly moving.
