Worth a read

Much better than the book...

Fascinating, but poorly written

This is a fascinating story. However, the author's narrative is overly confusing and makes the book a chore to read. Even though I haven't seen the movie, I would recommend seeing it first, and if still interested, looking into the original sources if you really want to know more.

Watch for the Movie in December 2013

Fantastic book about the group of curators, art historians, and artists attached to American forces that helped locate and save European art during World War II. A movie with George Clooney, Matt Damon and Cate Blanchett is scheduled for December 2013 release.

little known heroes

A very good read about little known heroes of WWII. Without this very small group of brave, innovative and courageous people the great art of Europe would have been lost. I couldn't put it down. This is a true story of how the great art and monuments of Europe survived the most horrific war in history.
