Great Stories!

I love these movies! First, I love the opening music. It's a march tune that gets in your head and if you don't find yourself marching around your kitchen to it at least once, then you are tone-deaf or heartless, take your pick.
A Grand Day Out is delightful and a perfect encapsulation of what Wallace and Gromit is really about. Wallace is a wonderfully oblivious if ingenious inventor and Gromit is the practical one, taking care of the detail work and generally being an all around amazing pet - he's like a modern-day Snoopy, with more appreciation and affection for his owner.
A Grand Day Out ranks first for me (I love that moon robot) and then A Close Shave (I suppose because of Shaun the Sheep) and then The Wrong Trousers (I just hate to believe a penguin could be capable of evil). Watch them all. They are completely worth your undivided attention.

To the moon, Gromit! submitted by elizabeth mayhew on August 23, 2018, 1:06am While A Grand Day Out may be my favourite, The Wrong Trousers and A Close Shave are very close seconds. Along with Cracking Contraptions, this is just full of fun.

Wallace & Gromit: Three Amazing Adventures
submitted by leighsprauer on July 21, 2023, 12:22pm
It really doesn't get much better than Wallace and Gromit for family movies. Slapstick comedy for kids (and adults!), plus absurd and hilarious story lines, plus a few jokes just for adults, with lovable and ridiculous characters. My kids watched these a lot when they were younger, and we are watching them again now that they're teenagers. The animation is fantastic - the range of emotion that Gromit can express with just his brow is mild-blowing.
This collection includes A Grand Day Out, A Close Shave, and Wrong Trousers. All are good; my kids liked A Grand Day Out best, but in my opinion nothing can compare to the model train sequence in Wrong Trousers. It's laugh out loud funny, as they say.
