The Invisible Man submitted by SBNB on August 5, 2014, 7:53pm Great book! A classic! My favorite book by H.G. Wells!
A Classic That Should Not be Missed! submitted by mickplu on June 22, 2018, 6:22am Written in 1897, this is a classic and well ahead of its time. H. G. Wells obviously analyzed the concept of invisibility and then wrote this novel which pits man against society. The main character Griffin, develops a serum for invisibility but is then outcast from society. If you are invisible, will you ever be trusted? What happens if you get cold? You have to put on clothes, thus making yourself partially visible. I loved the creativity involved in this plot and I wish this book had been featured in one of my classes as I'm sure there's many symbolic points that I missed. Nonetheless this is well worth reading.
