Reviews & Summaries
This is a solid 2.5 stars. The story was interesting/entertaining enough, but by the end the dialogue started looking like a screen play. he didn't even attempt to write like a writer. his editor clearly decided doing his/her job wasn't important. major deductions on poopy effort.
Tropper is a wonderful contemporary writer; I love his style and the first-person voice he gives to the narrator/protagonist of this book. It's a good story about dysfunctional families, dealing with crazy parents and siblings, dealing with divorce and affairs, midlife crises, death, all woven together in a very funny and somehow uplifting tale.
