Good

This is the official first book of the hot series--dork diaries! Follow Nicki Maxwell in her journey trying to survive middle school without being a dork--espcially infront of MacKenzie and her crush--Brandon (I think that's his name) Anyways, this book deserves a 500 star! Girls would love this!

girls like it but...

I like the books but dont like the Mean girls however I realize it is a fact of life and may as well talk about it to empower those who need to be..

daughter likes it and uses book as an example in "mean" situations.

Summary

Nikki Maxwell is having trouble adjusting to her new school, Westchester Country Day. No cellphone, no friends, and worst of all, Mackenzie Hollister. Oh yeah, and she is a dork. Mackenzie and her phony friends keep trying to get to Nikki, and sometimes they succeed. Nikki can't seem to find her place at her new school. She begins to wish she had never gotten that dumb scholarship! But she learns that when you're down, you always rise back up.
