Can’t put it down submitted by Markandmaryellen on February 19, 2023, 12:05pm I want to spend time with these characters. I want to understand their stories. And so I can’t put the book down.

Absorbing submitted by Zekicmom on June 10, 2023, 2:55pm It took a few pages for me to really get into the book, but once I was in, I was in. Covers a lot of sensitive topics such as racism and homophobia before that word was even used, and gave a grim portrait of the early days of the AIDS crisis. Pat Conroy is so good at giving the reader a sense of the world his characters inhabit. This is a book I continued to think about long after I finished it.
