On the eve of publisher Mikael Blomkvist's story about sex trafficking between Eastern Europe and Sweden, two investigating reporters are murdered. And even more shocking for Mikael Blomkvist: the fingerprints found on the murder weapon belong to Lisbeth Salander--the troubled, wise-beyond-her-years genius hacker who came to his aid years before.

Another outstanding book. An excellent mystery. Deep characters. Enough cast to provide many different angles to the story, but not so many that I couldn't keep track of them. Interesting conflicts at many different levels. Great storytelling that kept me wanting more throughout the book.

Start with _The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo_, though.

Scandinavian mystery

A great continuation of the story, with more of a focus on Lisbeth Salander. She is a new type of heroine who is very likable. I enjoyed this book as much as the first in the trilogy with one exception--the end was unresolved with the story directly leading into the final book.
