William Shatner!! submitted by pkooger on January 15, 2010, 4:11pm This is not the Star Trek with Chris Pine as James Kirk and Zachary Quinto as Spock. Do not be deceived! I'm guessing that [2009] refers to the year it was made into a blu-ray.

Stupid alien. Dumb plot. submitted by tbbrown76 on July 10, 2018, 8:32am I loved it. It was so good to see the gang back together! 2/5 for quality. 5/5 for just being Star Trek after a long absence.

Great Star Trek movie! submitted by Xris on August 29, 2018, 8:00am After growing up watching the series re-runs with my dad, it was great to see this movie! I like what the "alien presence" turned out to be!

Star Trek: The Introduction submitted by brooksza on August 15, 2022, 3:28pm It felt like every scene in this movie took a lot longer than necessary. It's kinda nice how the movie luxuriates on the (re)introduction of the Enterprise. But I still enjoyed watching this. It gets into some interesting themes in the final act and reveal. The sweeping musical score is the most adventurous part of this space adventure.

Visually it reminded me a lot of Star Wars, Superman and 2001. Other similarities to 2001 too. Bones was great. Spock's spacewalk looked great. All the beige looked meh.
