got that nordic fiction bug?

A nice follow-up to Sigurdardottir's "Last Rituals." The 3rd in the series, "Ashes to Ashes," is recently translated as well.
I recommend this book if you're looking for more new Icelandic fiction and if you like Arnaldur Indridason's books. (Jar City, Voices, etc.) It's reminiscent of Swedish author Asa Larsson's books in that the main "detective" is a female lawyer. All very interesting!
As with most Nordic Fiction novels, the author paints a portrait of Iceland so that it acts as another character book. (Here it's specifically the gorgeous and spooky Snaefellsnes Peninsula!)
It's a beautiful translation by the late Bernard Scudder.
