Not as Good As the Original submitted by Chris82 on July 31, 2011, 9:36pm This movie replaces the mystery of the spaceman by having telling us a lot about him. In addition the message of the movie went from a nuclear war warning to a heavy handed environmental message.

Some interesting ideas, heavy-handed message submitted by cherylo on July 15, 2012, 10:21pm There were some fascinating ideas about what first contact might be like presented herein. Overall, the messaging is pretty heavy-handed if well executed. The minimalist dialog serves the story and its actors well. I would say this is worth a look for fans of science fiction or Keanu Reeves.

No, you dumb troll "mysterio", not 'awesome', but "GOD-AWFUL". BOTH the RIDICULOUS 1951 b-mpovie AND the stupid recent one submitted by Tassos on November 15, 2021, 6:58pm I watched, painfully, the very-low budget, very poor script, EXTREMELY poor special effects and props (a DUMB nerd in high school would have done this MUCH better) 1951 version.

Now I watch the IDIOTIC 2008 remake, which had a chance to significantly improve the above, but NOOOOOO! They had to make utter fools of themselves, All THOSE who participated, from the director to the actors and of course to the script writers.

I don't have time to waste to list all the ways these MORONIC, pseudo-sci-fi comedies fail the INTELLIGENT Viewer.

Maybe Mike Myers can make a few more millions by making another movie, ala Austin Powers, MOCKING these utter pieces of crap.
