While in Paris on business, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is informed that the elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum. Near the body, the Surete have found a baffling cipher. Solving the enigmatic riddle, Langdon is stunned to discover it leads to a trail of clues hidden in the works of Da Vinci. These clues are hidden in plain sight for all to see, and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter. Langdon joins forces with Sophie Neveu, a French cryptologist, who learns the late curator was involved in the secret society known as the Priory of Sion. In a race to get answers before the Catholic Church puts a stop to them, Langdon and Neveu match wits with a faceless power broker who appears to work for Opus Dei - a clandestine, Vatican-sanctioned secret organization believed to have long plotted to seize the Priory's secret. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle in time, the Priory's secret, and a stunning historical truth, will be lost forever.

flat submitted by leenajong on August 7, 2015, 2:48pm Not very good, almost boring even. The book is much better.

Okay submitted by zmclaugh on July 30, 2018, 1:20pm This is an okay movie. Nothing special.

Not great submitted by Pooh3238 on August 24, 2018, 6:42pm The movie wasn't the same as the book. Tom Hanks is a great actor, but after reading the book it didn't live up to it. If you didn't read the book, the movie would be better.

Ok submitted by lstorc on August 28, 2018, 1:01am The plot was interesting enough. The self-flagellation was completely unnecessary.

Tom Hanks is great submitted by Adam Graham on August 31, 2018, 11:25pm To my surprise, I preferred the movie to the book

Borrr...ing submitted by markwells on July 20, 2019, 3:36pm Sorry. I wanted to like this but like so many movies (and books) it started out great and loses steam to the point where one starts day-dreaming and maybe napping. Grade: C-.

Good submitted by Kanchan21 on July 7, 2020, 8:19am I enjoyed this movie, I read book later so may be thats why enjoyed this more. Once you read the book you may find it not that impressive. Still a good movie.
